The journey continues

I admit, I am not a blogger. I have tried to write my own. I don't really have the time or committment. But I hope this will change after today.
I am going to try  to update this blog at least once a week.
I realize I love to share and what better way to do this than to blog.

The kabuki test came back neg. Dissapointed , absolutely. Moving on , yes.
We had a meeting with the developmental paed dr and he presented Norah to his students and other collegues and 2 new tests are going to get done. I am not sure what but moving ahead.

We went to a seating appointment a couple of weeks ago expecting that we were going to leave the building with a manual chair only to be knocked off my chiar by the suggestiong of a powerchair.
Yep, been doing powerchair training 3 weeks now. We have changed the joy stick to a toy dog and changed the direction to pulling it to go forward. Hopefully I can figure out how to post a video and /or photo. I did, yeah. This is called the magic carpet. It is a proto type thing designed to help clients (potential powerchair users ) gain experience driving a powerchair before it is ordered. It helps the OT/PT and technician figure out what is best for the client. - position of the joystick, the type of joystick, speed of the motor etc etc.
I know this blog is not as great as some of the other ones that I follow but I do hope it might give you - the reader- an insight into my life with Norah and how amazing she is. I also hope that it gives you hope, helps you believe so that you can dream a dream so big .
